Happy Sunday,
it’s me Waldi!
My lower back pain has become much better. I’ve adjusted my daily walks to include a morning walk this week and it really helps with prolonged sitting throughout the day. Yesterday was the first day when I didn’t walk 10 000 steps in weeks and I definitely felt it. Not only are morning walks good for my health, but they also reliably put me in a good mood when the weather is nice as well. I highly recommended them!
As is the custom, I have published a new blog post this week titled “How to Use the Hidden Power of Serotonin". I recommend you check it out!
Now, let’s have a look at today’s bullets!
1. Memento Mori
Earlier this week I wanted to relax to a gaming-livestream on twitch.tv, when I’ve learned that a streamer I liked a lot died last year. He was only 33 years old. His sudden death - he tweeted that he wanted to stream and travel the day he died and the ones that followed it - has stuck in my mind. It’s a reminder that every day is a gift that we should never waste or take for granted.
2. The Power of To-do-lists Done Right
On a positive note, I’ve also had the most productive week in months.
At the start of the week, I made a braindump, writing down everything on my mind in a note. Afterward, I prioritized my thoughts and scheduled everything throughout the week.
I must have hit a good balance between the volume and difficulty of tasks because I complete them all so far. I’ll work on a blog post about why this worked and how you can use it in your life over the course of this month. Until then, you can try it out tomorrow!
3. The Stoic Attitude of Astronaut Chris Hadfield
“Ultimately, I don’t determine whether I arrive at the desired professional destination. Too many variables are out of my control. There’s really just one thing I can control: my attitude during the journey, which is what keeps me feeling steady and stable, and what keeps me headed in the right direction. So I consciously monitor and correct, if necessary, because losing attitude would be far worse than not achieving my goal.”

4. JRE #1375 Edward Norton
After listening to Robert Downey Jr. on the JRE last week, I’ve listened to Edward Norton this week. Somehow it’s really impressive to see super successful people, especially actors, live very considerate and thoughtful lives.
5. Three Paths
I tweeted about the three paths you can take through life.
6. Meaningful Activities
“Meaningful activities aren't necessarily those we do most often. They are those we value most highly and will, from the perspective of our deaths, miss most deeply.”
Source: The School of Life in “The Meaning of Life”, p. 9.
7. New Podcast I Listen to
I asked about your favorite podcasts a while back and began to listen to one of them: Modern Wisdom. It’s great! Listen to it.
That’s it for this week! I hope you found something valuable.
Until next week!
- Waldi
